BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's soccer head coach Shawn Burke announced the addition of two student-athletes to his 2025 signing class. The Bulls will now welcome a total of nine student-athletes to a squad that advanced to the championship game of the 2024 Mid-American Conference Tournament.
Gabriella Capra – Hopewell Junction, NY – John Jay East Fishkill – World Class FC – Midfielder/Forward
Capra comes to Buffalo from Hopewell Junction, NY where she currently plays for John Jay East Fishkill. She earned All-League honors after helping lead the Patriots to a league championship in 2022 for the first time in 10 years. Capra plays club ball for World Class FC where she was a two-time All-Region selection while helping lead the club to three straight ECNL playoff appearances.
Burke on Capra: "Gabby grabbed our attention from our Prospect Camp and should make an immediate difference in our attack. Her final season with WCFC should prep her for a great college career."
Casey Loughran – Highlands Ranch, CO – Mountain Vista H.S. – Real Colorado ECNL- Goalkeeper
Loughran comes to Buffalo from Highlands Ranch, Colorado where she currently plays for Mountain Vista High School and helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 2024 5A Colorado State championship, a State Cup championship in 2022 and was the 2021 State Cup MVP. Burke on Loughran: "Casey made an immediate impression on her visit and is the exact type of person/player we're looking to add to our program. She will join a talented GK core, and we can't wait to see what she can accomplish as a Bull!"
