BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's soccer head coach Shawn Burke announced the signing of South Alabama transfer Mae Hunt on Friday.
"Mae's going to bring experience and composure to our midfield," said Burke. "Her comfortability on the ball will allow us to be more dynamic in possession."
Hunt, a 5-4 midfielder from Staines-Upon-Thames, England, comes to Buffalo after two seasons at South Alabama where she appeared in 36 games, scoring three goals while logging over 2,100 minutes played. As a sophomore, she scored a goal in a win over Southeastern Louisiana and notched the game-winner in a big win at Southern Miss while helping to lead the Jaguars to a 10-win season and the number one seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. Prior to collegiate action, Hunt played for Reading Women FC for five years as a center midfielder.
