WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team picked up their third straight win on Tuesday with a 6-0 victory over Binghamton at the Miller Tennis Center. Buffalo won all six singles matches indoors. Doubles was played as an exhibition outdoors.
Buffalo took all six matches in straight sets, beginning at fifth singles as Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou had a 6-0, 6-0 shutout. Sophomore Azra Deniz Comlek won at fourth singles 6-0, 6-2 and senior Gabriella Akopyan won at second singles, 6-2, 6-0.
Freshman Mariana Carvajal Torres clinched the victory at sixth singles with a 6-2, 6-1 victory and sophomore Ambre Amat won at third singles, 6-2, 7-5. Junior Pia Schwarz completed the sweep at first singles, 7-2, 7-6 (4).
In the exhibitioned doubles, the Bulls swept their way to wins at one and three and won at two, 6-2.
The Bulls remain home on Friday afternoon when UB hosts Bowling Green at 1:00 pm.
