
Bulls Complete Weekend Sweep with 5-2 Win Over Miami (OH)

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team (17-4, 4-0 MAC) closed out the weekend with a 5-2 win over the defending regular season champion Miami (OH) RedHawks on Sunday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
Buffalo took a 1-0 lead as Blanca Berges and Liv Roestel won 6-3 at second singles and Julia Laspro and Sarah Hartel followed with a 6-4 win at the third position to clinch the doubles point.
In singles action, Esmee Andresen battled back from 5-2 down in the second set to earn a 6-3, 7-6 victory at first singles and Roestel overcame a dropped first set to win 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 to put UB up 3-1 before Maria Glowacka clinched the match for UB in a three-set thriller of her own, winning 2-6, 7-6, 6-1 at third singles. Hartel rounded out the scoring for UB with a hard-fought 7-5, 7-6 victory at fourth singles.
Up next, Buffalo returns to action on Friday, April 3 as they host Toledo at Miller Tennis Center at 12pm.
