
Bulls Lose To Huskies, 6-1

MAUMEE, OH – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team had its 14-match winning streak over Northern Illinois snapped on Saturday as the Bulls lost to the Huskies, 6-1. The contest took place at the Shadow Valley Tennis Center in Maumee, OH.
The Huskies opened the afternoon with a victory in doubles, winning at one and two. The match at third doubles was halted once the point was clinched.
Northern Illinois won five of the six matches in singles with UB picking up the win at fourth singles courtesy of junior Hsin Yuan Shih, who won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1. Sophomore Ambre Amat was able to go three sets in her match at third singles, winning the second set, but she fell in the super tiebreaker in the third.
The Bulls will return home to begin a four-match homestand beginning on Friday against Western Michigan.
