Bulls Defeat Ball State on Friday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team earned a big bounce back win, defeating Ball State 5-2 at Miller Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. It was UB's first win over the Cardinals since 2018.
The Bulls got off to a great start, winning the doubles point as Jagmeet Kaur and Deanne Choo cruised to a 6-1 win at third doubles and Azra Deniz Comlek and Laura Koralnik followed with a 6-3 win at the second position.
Koralnik gave the Bulls their first point in singles action as she cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at the third position. With the match tied at two, Esmee Andresen earned a crucial point as she rallied from a second set deficit to win 6-3, 7-5 at fourth singles before Comlek clinched the match for UB, overcoming a dropped first set to win 6-7, 6-0, 6-1 at second singles. Senior Ambre Amat added the final point for the Bulls, battling to a 6-3, 7-5 win at fifth singles.
Buffalo returns to action on Sunday, April 14 at Miami (OH).
