UB Hosts Western Michigan on Sunday

BUFFALO, NY - UB men's tennis concludes their six game homestand when they host Western Michigan on Sunday. This will be second time both teams have faced off against each other this year.
Sunday's match will take place at Miller Tennis Center at 9:30 am. Miller Tennis Center is located at 5959 Sheridan Dr, Williamsville, NY 14221.
Looking Back
Buffalo lost the first meeting against Western Michigan, 5-2, on March 20. Pablo Alvarez and Sergio Arevalillo won at second and third singles for the Bulls' lone wins on the day. UB is looking to carry their momentum from last week's 5-2 over Toledo for Sunday's rematch.
Battle for First Place
The Broncos head to Buffalo off a 4-3 loss to Binghamton. Friday's loss snapped a seven-game winning streak and a perfect MAC record. WMU is now 3-1 in MAC Play. Buffalo is 2-1 with wins against Binghamton and Toledo, while their lone loss is against Western Michigan. With a win on Sunday, Buffalo can move into a sole possession for first place in the MAC Standings.
Doubles Play Is Key
UB is 9-1 when they win the doubles point. Their lone loss when they were victorious in doubles game against NJIT on February 6. While it's not uncommon to win a match without the doubles point, the Bulls have yet to do it this season. Good play at doubles sets a solid foundation as singles play begins in each match.
