UB Men's Tennis Tallies Back-to-Back Player of the Week Nods

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York men's tennis team has tallied Mid-American Conference Player of the Week nods on five occasions this season. For the second time in as many weeks, the Bulls claimed the MAC Singles Player of the Week with sophomore Jonathan Hannestad being honored announced Wednesday.
Hannestad defeated Brown's Aaron Sanberg, 6-2, 7-5, at sixth singles Saturday as the Bulls fell to the 49th-ranked Bears, 6-1. Hannestad also teamed with junior Sergio Arevalillo at first doubles. They were knotted with Brown, 6-6, before their match was suspended as Brown secured the doubles point. The duo was named MAC Doubles Team of the Week on Feb. 11.
The Bulls will return to play on Sunday, March 22 at 50th-ranked Cornell.
