Harry Turner returns for his second year with the UB Bulls wrestling program as assistant coach. Turner works primarily with the UB upperweights. Outside of the wrestling room, Turner leads the Bulls fundraising efforts and monitors team academics.
In his first season with UB, Turner helped guide Joe Ariola (184) to a national tournament appearance and Jake Gunning (285) to a MAC Championship runner-up finish.
Turner joined the Bulls staff after serving as a student assistant and later, assistant coach at his alma mater Lock Haven University under Scott Moore. While wrestling at LHU Turner won over 90 matches as a four-year starter, earning the second most heavyweight victories in school history en route to a 2010 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference title.
In addition to his prior collegiate coaching experience, Turner has worked with a number of the nation’s top camp systems, including J Robinson Intensive Camps, Carl Poff’s TNT Camps, and the Rutgers Scarlet Knight Team Camp among others.
A native of Howell NJ, Turner graduated with a Bachelors in Health and Physical Education as well as a minor in Coaching.
