Bulls Travel to Toledo for Regular Season Finale on Saturday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team closes out Mid-American Conference regular season action at Toledo on Saturday at 1pm.
With a win, the Bulls will clinch a share of the regular season championship and earn the number one seed in next week's Mid-American Conference Tournament, hosted by the Bulls on April 18-19.
Buffalo is coming off a weekend sweep in which they defeated Northern Illinois 5-2 before sweeping UIC 7-0 on Senior Day on Sunday.
The Bulls are balanced with all six players in the lineup recording double digit win totals in singles play this season. Senior Faiz Nasyam and junior Minjae Kim lead the team with 18 wins and senior Onder Balci sit just behind them with 16 victories. Senior Theodoros Mitsakos has notched 14 wins, seven of them from the No. 1 position, and fellow seniors Emiliano Jorquera (13) and Clement Mainguy (11) are also in double figures. In doubles action, Mitsakos and Mainguy have paced the Bulls with 14 wins, including an 11-2 mark at the first position, and have won MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors a league-best five times. Jorquera and Nasyam have also reached double-digits as a duo with 10 wins.
Toledo (7-14, 2-7 MAC) is in fifth place in the MAC standings. They are coming off a weekend split in which they defeated UIC 4-3 before falling to Northern Illinois 6-1. The Rockets are led by Cole Cozens who has recorded nine singles victories in dual action, followed by Lucas Britez (7). In doubles action, Joshua Mackey and Alejandro Gonzalez lead the team with a 7-2 record in dual action.
