Bulls Schedule Game at Illinois in 2029

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo football team announced it will play a non-conference game at Illinois in 2029. The Bulls will face the Fighting Illini at Gies Memorial Stadium on Sept. 8, 2029.
It will be the first meeting between the schools.
The Bulls have played a number of teams from the Big Ten Conference in recent history. Including upcoming games against Penn State in 2026, Michigan in 2027 and Ohio State in 2028, UB has scheduled a Big Ten opponent in 11 of 13 seasons between 2017 and 2029.
In addition to playing Illinois, UB has also added Stonehill to the 2029 slate. The Bulls will host the Skyhawks on Sept. 1, 2029.
Buffalo will kick off the 2026 campaign on Sept. 3 against Albany at Broadview Stadium. Season tickets are on sale now!
