2010-11: Redshirted but went 11-11 in open tournaments… competed in the UB Open, William & Jefferson Invite, Cleveland State Open, New York State Championships and National Collegiate Open… placed first at the NCCC Open (12/4)… finished fourth at the JCC Open (1/29)… came on strong late in the season, winning five of his final seven matches.
High School: A two-time Section IV finalist and also a New York state qualifier... Ward was a two-time team captain and won 39 matches in his senior year and 107 wins over his career.
Personal: Favorite athlete is former wrestler Dan Gable... his favorite quote comes from Gable, who said that “the first period is won by the best technician, the second period is one by the kid in the best shape and the third period is won by the kid with the biggest heart”...will major in Electrical Engineering.
