BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team dropped a dual to Northern Illinois, 29-11, on Friday night at Alumni Arena.
A slow start for the Bulls was too much to overcome as they lost their first three matches of the night.
Sam Ewing got the Bulls on the board with a 4-1 decision over Collin Arch at 149. It was a tight 1-1 match until the final seconds of the third period when Ewing got a takedown to earn the victory.
Kaleb Burgess followed with a 9-5 decision over Landen Johnson at 157. He did most of his work early with two first-period takedowns.
Connor Jacobs won his match by injury default for the Bulls third victory of the evening.
Buffalo will be back in action next Friday when it hosts SIUE at 6:00 pm.
