
Bulls Drop Tough Dual at Clarion

CLARION, PA – The University at Buffalo wrestling team dropped a tough road dual at Clarion, 21-16, on Friday night. The Bulls won five matches on the night, but it wasn't enough to top the Golden Eagles.
After dropping their first two matches, the Bulls rattled off five straight wins to take control of the dual.
Tyler Roark got the Bulls on the board with a high-scoring 16-11 decision over Scott Johnson at 141.
Sam Ewing followed with a 13-1 major decision over Oliver Fairchild at 149.
Kaleb Burgess was back in the lineup following an injury and responded with a 5-1 decision over Wesley Barnes at 157.
Kelin Laffey earned a 2-0 decision over Alejandro Herrera-Rondon at 165 for UB's fourth straight win.
At 174, Rafael Knapp rolled to an 11-5 decision over Gabe Lilly to extend the UB lead to 16-9.
However, Clarion won the final three matches to rally for the victory.
The Bulls are back in action next Sunday when they host Hofstra.
