2011-12: Rode the momentum of a solid sophomore season and set career highs in every major statistical category, putting his name on multiple program record lists as well... earned his second trip to the NCAA tournament... led the team with 33 overall wins... tied for the team lead with 16 dual wins, the seventh most in a single season in program history... led the team in takedowns (35) and three-point near falls (12), as well as 21 two-point near falls, which is good for the most for a single season in program history... was dominating on top, leading to 11 technical falls (six in dual meets), tying him for a the national lead in the category... finished third at the UB Open (11/6)... came in second at the Body Bar Invite, losing in the finals to Drexel’s Joe Booth (11/19)... finished fifth at the Penn State Open, but recorded four tech falls and a pin among his six total wins (12/4)... earned MAC wrestler of the week after dominating his matches at the Virginia Duals, posting a 5-0 record with two technical falls and a major decision among his five victories, which included four shutout victories (1/14)... despite suffering a knee injury mid way through the match, he rallied for a 15-0 tech fall win over Ohio’s Miles Chapman (1/29)... finished second in the 165 pound MAC championship... beat Missouri’s Zach Toal 3-1 in the NCAA tournament (3/15).
2010-11: A well-rounded wrestler who broke on to the national scene with 30 wins... made his first appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2011 after winning the 157-bracket of the Mid American Conference championship… is dominant on top, leading the team in three-point near falls and riding time points and sits second on the team in two-point near falls… tied for the team lead in dual meet wins (12) and won the third most matches overall on the team (28)… finished second at the UB Open, losing only to #5 Colt Sponseller of Ohio State in the finals, 5-1 (11/7)… defeated Matt Lester of #8 Oklahoma 4-2 in a team dual (11/12)… placed in three straight national tournaments, finishing sixth at the Oklahoma Gold Classic (11/13), second at the Body Bar Invitational (11/20) and seventh at the Penn State Open (12/5)… won an 11-2 major decision over Matt Kaylor of Binghamton (1/2)… finished a perfect 5-0 in MAC action… earned back-to-back 8-0 major decisions over Aaron Sulzer of Eastern Michigan and Ryan Cubberly of Central Michigan… finished the regular season on a high note, earning a sudden victory over #21 Bryan Deutsch of Northern Illinois (2/20)... finished in the top 12 at the NCAA tournament after winning three matches... pinned Chattanooga’s Josh Condon in the first round before losing to eventual national champion Bubba Jenkins of Arizona State despite leading 5-2 in the third period (3/17)... beat North Carolina’s Corey Mock 5-2... upset fifth seed Jesse Dong of Virginia Tech 7-0 (3/18).
2009-10: Redshirted but did post 11 wins on the season... finished second at Edinboro Open and sixth at the Cleveland State Open.
2008-09: Overall record of 14-11 at 141, recorded a six-bout win streak... second-place finishes at the Michigan State Open and NYS Intercollegiate Championships... competed at the Reno Tournament of Champions... tied for first on the team in technical falls (1).
High School: Won six letters and captained two seasons for coach David Young at Lancaster High School... finished second at the 2007 New York State Championships and fifth in the 2008 state meet... competed 14 years at the club level for Chin Cup, coached by Derek Ostrowski and Ron Lorenz... earned NHSCA Junior National All-American honors in 2007.
