2011-12: Was one of the top redshirt wrestlers in the country placing no worse than fourth in every tournament he participated in... ranked as the second-best redshirt at 174 pounds in the nation by TheOpenMat.com... finished with a 21-4 record in open tournaments... won his bracket at the UB Open (11/6)... finished second at the Binghamton Open, only losing in overtime in the championship bout (11/13)... placed third at the prestigious Penn State Open, losing only to returning Penn State All American Ed Ruth (12/4)... earned one of Buffalo’s best finish ever at the Midlands Championships, finishing fourth after winning five matches (12/29)... moved up to a new weight of 184 for his final tournament of the season, and swept all four matches to win the Edinboro Open (2/11).
2010-11: Made his second appearance at the NCAA tournament after winning the 165-pound bracket at the Mid American Conference championship, beating the top two seeds in the process... named to the NWCA All-Academic Division I Team and Academic All-MAC team for the second straight season… earned a MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor (3/11)... won a career-high 27 matches, including eight dual wins…finished second on the team with 38 takedowns… now sits in fifth place in the program’s career takedown list, with 116… wrestled one of the toughest schedules in the nation, with an RPI ranking of 31… smoked the competition at the UB Open, averaging almost 16 points per match and tallying three major decisions in his four matches en route to a first-place finish (11/7)… went 4-2 at the Oklahoma Gold Classic, good for fifth place (11/13)… finished second at the Body Bar Invite, losing only to Cornell’s Justin Kerber in the final (11/20)… finished fourth at the Penn State Open, with wins over Binghamton, Virginia and Penn State (12/5)… won six of his final seven matches, including a 4-1 record in the MAC dual season… won a major decision over Nicholas Hendrick of Eastern Michigan, 18-8 (2/9)… ended the season with another major decision, a 15-6 win over Matt Mougin of Northern Illinois (2/20)... beat Ryan DesRoches 8-6 at the NCAA tournament (3/18).
2009-2010: Exploded in his sophomore year, posting 22 wins and finishing third on the team in takedowns… finished first in the New York State Championship’s “A” bracket at 165 pounds, stringing together four straight wins including a championship victory over #16 nationally ranked Justin Kerber of Cornell, leading to being named the MAC wrestler of the week (1/26)… finished third at the MAC Championships to become a national qualifier… over the course of the season, he grappled with nine nationally ranked wrestlers... named to the NWCA All-Academic Division I Team and All-MAC Academic team... also earned the State University of New York Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete Award… earned a 4-1 record in MAC dual meets.
2008-09: Compiled a 22-20 overall record at 157, compiled a seven-bout win streak... placed third at the NYS Intercollegiate Championships... placed fourth at the Body Bar Invitational... finished sixth at the UB Open... also competed at the Reno Tournament of Champions... tied for first on the team in technical falls (1), third in takedowns (37) and tied for fourth in riding time points (4).
High School: Earned six letters and captained two seasons for coach James Cannon at Brockport High School... went 53-1 as a senior for the Blue Devils and set the school record for most career wins (191), most wins in a season (53) and most takedowns in a season (239)... finished third in the 2007 and 2008 NYS Championships and fifth in 2006... also played wide receiver for the Blue Devils’ football team.
