2026: Played in all 56 games with 54 starts, 51 starts coming behind the plate...Hit .302 with 48 hits, 22 of which going for extra bases...Finished with an OPS of 1.003, third on the team...Tallied 51 RBIs on the season...From behind the plate, Smithson led the country with 22 runners caught stealing at the conclusion of the regular season...Threw out two runners against Wisconsin (2/21), Louisville (2/22), UMass (4/7), Akron (4/11) and Ball State (5/1)...Recorded a career-high four hits with 11 total bases at UMass (4/8) where she hit two home runs, one being a grand slam for seven RBIs...Had two home runs against Hofstra (2/27)...Earned 30 walks, good for fifth in a single season in program history...Defensively, finished with 153 putouts, 39 assists and and a .985 fielding percentage.
2025: In her freshman season with the Bulls, Smithson started in 49 games...She held a .292 batting average, which was fourth on the team...The power hitter finished with 40 hits including six doubles and five home runs...Her five home runs were second on the team...Finished with a .445 slugging percentage and a .365 on base percentage...Had six multi-hit game including a career-high three hits against St. Bonaventure (April 1) and Toledo (April 19).
Prior to UB: Isabella Smithson comes in with Lancaster-Lebanon Section I All-Star honors in 2022 and 2023...The quick-twitch catcher throws the ball at a solid 69 mph...Smithson received the 2020 USSSA National Championship Offensive MVP...In total, she collected three all-around MVP awards in the National USSSA tournament...At Warwick, she was part of the 2021 Section and District Championship teams...This past season, she helped Warwick to the Section and League crown.
