Bulls Stumble to Ball State on Senior Day

In the final game of the series, it was all Ball State from the start. They managed to jump out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning. Buffalo responded in the bottom half of the inning as Abbey Nagel beat out a throw to first that allowed Bri Delaney and Reagan Terwilliger to score.
The Cardinals' offense continued to put the ball in play as they added three runs in the second to take a 9-2 lead.
In the bottom of the second, the Bulls cut into Ball State's lead. An RBI-single by Nicole Allen made it 9-3. In the next at bat, a Delaney sac fly scored Terwilliger. Now trailing 9-4, Nagel doubled to right center that scored Allen. Ardyn Hopf then drilled a 2-run double to left to cut the deficit to 9-7.
Unfortunately, that was the closest the game would get as Ball State scored six runs in the fourth inning to take a commanding 15-7 lead.
Both Terwilliger and Nagel recorded two hits as Nagel had three RBIs.
In her career, Nagel finished with 46 doubles, tied for the second most in program history.
