2012-13: Raced in three cross country meets asa freshman. Earned a career-best 19th place finish at the PrincetonInvite, finishing the 8K in a time of 26:26.0. Finished the UBStampede Invitational in a time of 26:52.3 which was good for a42nd place finish.
High School: Won 12 letters and captained twoseasons at Binghamton High School for coach David Cody. Ran in theintersectional medley relay at the 2012 New York State IndoorChampionships, helping the foursome to a third-place finish.
Personal: Born January 3, 1994. Son of Randyand Jenny Gowland. Has one brother (Colin). Favorite foods includeomelets, pizza and lo mein. Enjoys folk music and lists Bon Iver,Beirut and Grizzly Bear among his favorite bands. Majoring inexercise science.
