2014: Wessel competed in the first three meets of the season for the Bulls as a junior...clocked a season-best 5,000-meter time of 19:14.20 on Aug. 30 at the Duquesne Duals...added a 24:20.47 finish in the 6K at the Iona Meet of Champions on Sept. 20.
2013: Wessel competed in five of the Bulls’ six meets as a sophomore. She clocked a season-best six-kilometer time of 23:27 at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational and placed eighth with a 19:21 5K at the UB Stampede. Wessel raced to an 87th-place 6K finish of 24:10 at the MAC Championship.
2012: Was not a member of the team as a freshman.
High School: Led her team to four straight GBSSA cross country team titles. Ranked first overall in the GBSSA as a senior. Earned Athlete of the Year honors as a senior.
Personal: Born October 17, 1993. Daughter of Mark and Dee-Anne Wessel. Has one sister, Kate. Lists her favorite musician as John Mayer. Her favorite movies are the English Patient and Heat. Her favorite athlete is Lauren Fleshman. Majoring in English.
