2014: Vazquez raced just once for the Bulls as a junior...in UB''s season opener, she clocked a 5,000-meter run time of 22:02.50 at the Duquesne Duals on Aug. 30.
2013: Vazquez did not compete for the Bulls as a sophomore.
2012: Vazquez raced in three meets for the Bulls as a freshman. She recorded a career-best time of 23:51.00 at the six-kilometer Princeton Invitational, earning a seventh-place overall finish. She picked up a 22nd-place finish at the 5K UB Stampede Invitational, finishing with a time of 19:09.00.
High School: Earned 13 letters and captained one season for coaches Jamie Sison and Daniel Schaub at Sachem East High School. Named to All-Northeast team in 2009 and was a two-time all-county honoree in cross country. Earned all-league honors in 3,000-meter run during track season.
Personal: Born February 16, 1994. Daughter of Teddy and Celeste Vazquez. Hobbies include painting, drawing and cycling. Favorite foods include chocolate chip cookies and Mexican foods. Great aunt is tennis legend Althea Gibson. Majoring in exercise science.
