2015: Shaw made a huge impact for the Bulls in her junior season, competing in seven, and placing in four, out of the eight races… She ran a season-best 6K at Pre-Nationals, placing 32nd out of 237 teams, with a time of 21:32.50… Shaw helped pace the Bulls to a second place finish at the UB Stampede Invitational, with a time of 18:30.20… Shaw also earned a place on the 2015 All-MAC 2nd Team when she placed 13th out of 102, clocking in at 21:37.21… She lead the way for the Bulls at the NCAA Regionals, where she placed 34th out of 256 with a time of 21:39.60, third best in program history… Shaw was named UB Athlete of the Week for the week of November 16th… Shaw was also named UB Scholar-Athlete of the Month for the month of January… Shaw was awarded “Most Outstanding Player” for the Women’s Cross Country team her junior season... Distinguished Scholar Athlete.
2014: Shaw competed in seven races for the Bulls as a sophomore, including the MAC Championships and the NCAA Northeast Regionals...finished in top four for UB all but once...clocked a top 5,000-meter run time of 19:01.60 at the UB Stampede on Sept. 6... had a season-best 6K of 22:20.70 to polish off her first year as a Bull at regionals on Nov. 14...added a 22:24 finish at the MAC Championships on Nov. 1.
2013: Was not a member of the team as a freshman.
High School: Attended Rangitoto College and raced for coach Carolyn Smith...lists greatest athletic accomplishment as coming in second in the 1,500-meter run at the New Zealand Secondary School Championships...also played netball, touch rugby and tennis and was a member of the swimming, triathlon and cycling teams.
Personal: Born June 21, 1994...daughter of Alan and Ros...has one brother, John...majoring in studio art...dream job would be coordinating advertising for Nike...enjoys photography...favorite TV show is Friends.
