
Cross Country Closes Out Regular Season at Two Meets This Weekend

BUFFALO, NY β The University at Buffalo cross country program is continuing its preparation for Mid-American Conference Championships with two meets this week. The Bulls are competing in the Princeton Fall Classic on Friday at 10 a.m. and the Canisius Alumni Classic on Saturday at noon.
PRINCETON FALL CLASSIC
The Bulls are competing at Princeton for the first time since 2018. The Tigers are currently ranked first in the Mid-Atlantic region and 20th in the USTFCCCA national poll. The Buffalo men did not receive a ranking in the latest USTFCCCA regional poll despite placing ahead of six regionally ranked programs at Lehigh University's Paul Short Run. The Bulls also finished ahead of six teams in the Northeast region, including Rhode Island, Colgate, Siena, Fordham, Brown and Canisius. Β
The Buffalo women had a strong showing at the Paul Short Run too, finishing ahead of 15 Northeast opponents, including Syracuse, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Colgate, Holy Cross, Stony Brook, Vermont, Stonehill, Wagner, Central Connecticut, Siena, Marist, Manhattan, Canisius and Le Moyne.
The Princeton Fall Classic begins at 10 a.m. on Friday. The women's race is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., with the men's race expected to begin at 11:15 a.m. Live results can be accessed here.
CANISIUS ALUMNI CLASSIC
The Bulls return to the Canisius Alumni Classic in North Buffalo's Delaware Park for the fourth consecutive season. The Buffalo men have taken first place twice in the last three seasons, including 2024. The Buffalo women have also had success, placing inside the top five for three consecutive seasons.
The Bulls are expected to have nine women and three men compete in Delaware Park on Saturday afternoon. The women's 5k race is scheduled for noon, with the men's 8k race expected to begin at 12:45 p.m.
The Canisius Alumni Classic is set to begin at noon on Saturday in North Buffalo's Delaware Park. Live results can be accessed here. More information can be found here.
MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
