Bulls Drop Heartbreaker to Miami (OH) on Sunday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team dropped a heartbreaker, 4-3, to Miami (OH) on Sunday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.
The Bulls got off to a great stop, winning the doubles point as Ambre Amat and Esmee Andresen won 6-3 at first doubles and Jagmeet Kaur and Deanne Choo followed with a 6-4 victory at the third position to give UB a 1-0 lead in the match.
The RedHawks tied the match at one with a win at fifth singles. Amat answered with a 6-4, 6-3 win at fourth singles to put UB up 2-1. After Miami tied the match at two with a win at first singles, freshman Laura Koralnik came through with a hard-fought 6-3, 7-5 victory at third singles.
Later, with the match tied 3-3, the match came down to second singles where Comlek battled back to force a third set but ultimately fell 3-6, 6-2, 4-6.
Buffalo returns to action on Friday as they welcome Bowling Green at Miller Tennis Center at 12:30pm.
