
Curtis Jones Earns All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their postseason men's basketball awards on Wednesday morning. Earning honors was sophomore guard Curtis Jones, who was named to the All-MAC Third Team.
Curtis Jones had a breakout sophomore season for the Bulls. Starting 30 games, he averaged a team-best 15.1 points per game, good for 14th in the MAC. Over the course of the season, he scored 20 or more points 10 times including a career-high 32 points against St. Bonaventure. Jones reached double figures scoring in 23 of the 30 games he played. He averaged 4.9 rebounds per game while also being able to distribute the ball averaging 3.0 assists per game. The guard shot .414 from the floor and .361 from three-point range. Currently, Jones is 13th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.94.
Jones picked up MAC Player of the Week honors once this season, the only Bull to do so.
The Bulls open the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Thursday evening against the 3-seeded Akron Zips in the quarterfinals. Tip-off will be at approximately 6:30 p.m. and will air on ESPN+.
