
Women’s Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Honors

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team was honored for its academic success as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced UB as one of its All-Academic Teams. In addition, eight Bulls earned Scholar Athlete honors.
To be a scholar-athlete, student-athletes must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA for the previous academic year. Buffalo's selections are Ambre Amat, Gabriella Akopyan, Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou, Mariana Carvajal Torres, Lolina Schietekat Sedas, Pia Schwarz, Hsin-Yuan Shih, and Alexis Tensfeldt.
As a team, the Bulls earned All-Academic honors with a team GPA of 3.2 or better.
In 2022, 1,517 Division I Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 250 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
