Softball Adds A Pair To 2022 Signing Class

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo softball head coach Mike Ruechel announced the signing of Candace Ripine and Talynn Williams to National Letters of Intent. They join eight other student-athletes in UB's 2022 class.
Candace Ripine – Tampa, FL – T R Robinsin High School – 3B
Candace Ripine comes to Buffalo from Tampa, FL where she plays at T R Robinson High School. She earned Second Team honors as a junior and competes for the Miami Stingrays Gold Byers club team. Off the pitch she is a member of the National Honor Society and the high honor roll.
Talynn Williams – Mohave Valley, AZ – River Valley High School – UTL/IF
Williams comes to Buffalo from Mohave Valley, AZ where she competes for River Valley High School. She is coming off a stellar junior season in which she earned Defensive Region Player of the Year, First Team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference honors after batting .543 while recording 13 doubles, 38 hits, 58 runs scored and 12 stolen bases, a .607 on base percentage and a .947 fielding percentage, while leading her team to a conference and State Championship. For her career she has a .457 average and a .516 on base percentage. She also plays club ball for the Arizona Bombers. Off the field she is a proud member of the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe and is an active member in the Native Club.
