CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced their postseason awards on Wednesday morning. The University at Buffalo softball program earned four All-MAC honors. Both Nicole Allen and Bri Delaney earned First-Team All-MAC honors as Abbey Nagel and Reagan Terwilliger earned Second Team accolades. The four postseason honors are the most in program history. This is first time since 2021 that Buffalo earned two First Team honors.
Allen led the Bulls with a .453 batting average which ranked fourth in the conference. Her 43 hits marked a conference best, six of which going for extra bases. Tallying 50 total bases, the sophomore outfielder finished with a .526 slugging percentage to go with her 18 RBIs. Finishing just outside the top-10 in the MAC in on base percentage, she finished with a .475 average. Defensively, the right fielder had 46 putouts to go with a .979 fielding percentage. Against UMass (4/8), she set career high marks with four hits and three runs scored. She recorded 13 multi-hit performances, including four games with at least three hits in conference play. This is her first All-MAC honor in her career.
Delaney led the Bulls with 61 total bases, seventh in the MAC. She finished the conference slate with a .442 batting average to go with her 38 hits. The junior hit 13 extra base hits, eight going for doubles and five going over the fence for home runs. Her 13 extra base hits led to 39 RBIs, the second most in the league. Tallying a .709 slugging percentage, she finished the campaign with a 1.204 OPS, good for sixth in the MAC. In Buffalo's first win over Miami (OH) (4/3) since the 2018 season, Delaney went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored. At Toledo (4/24) she drove in a career-high seven RBIs where she hit a 2-run home run and a grand slam. The third baseman finished with a .958 fielding percentage with 36 putouts and 56 assists. This is also her first All-MAC honor in her career.
Nagel ended her collegiate career with her second All-MAC Second Team honor. She joins a list of just 12 Bulls who earned at least two All-MAC honors in their careers. The senior was a mainstay for the program as she started all 204 games in her career at first base, never missing a game. In conference play she tallied 149 putouts and seven assists as she finished with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. At the plate, she hit .318 with 27 hits, four of which going for home runs. Her nine doubles were sixth in the conference as she drove in 22 RBIs. Against UMass (4/8), she hit three doubles becoming just the second Bull in program history to do so and the first since the 2001 season. Nagel had five games with multiple RBIs.
Terwilliger was a speed demon in both the field and on the base paths. She led the conference with 14 stolen bases and never got caught. Her speed led to a league leading six triples while finishing second with 32 runs scored. The junior recorded 52 total bases and an OPS of 1.074. She tallied 34 hits including eight multi-hit performances. Against Central Michigan (4/17), she set a career-high mark four RBIs. In the field she recorded 58 putouts and three assists as the Arizona native was error free in MAC play. She earned All-MAC honors in back-to-back seasons as she was named to the First Team list last season.
