LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced their 2026 NFCA Division I All-Region Teams on Thursday afternoon. Among those being honored, Buffalo sophomore outfielder Nicole Allen took home First-Team All-Northeast Region honors. This marks the program's fifth ever NFCA First-Team All-Region honor. She joins Breanne Nasti (2002 & 2004), Alexis Curtis (2015) and Anna Aguon (2021) as the only Bulls to be named to the First-Team list.
Nicole Allen set the single season program record with 80 hits that has stood since the 2015 season. Her 80 hits ranked 13th in the country and second in the MAC at the conclusion of the regular season. The Penfield, N.Y. native racked up a .421 batting average which is top-5 in program history in a single season. Allen's batting average was fourth in the league and 73rd in college softball. The outfielder led the league with 28 multi-hit performances on the season. Tallying 93 total bases, she drove in 38 runs as she scored 50 runs of her own. From the dish she recorded a .489 slugging percentage and .932 OPS. The sophomore earned First-Team All-MAC honors in her first season in the blue and white. Defensively, the right fielder had 88 putouts and a .989 fielding percentage.
"Nicole is so deserving of this recognition," stated Head Coach Chelsea Plimpton. "She is a fierce competitor who consistently leaves everything she has on the field every single day. Nicole's work ethic, toughness, and passion for the game set the standard for our program, and this honor is a reflection of the impact she made all season long. I am incredibly proud of her and grateful she's a Bull."
