Bulls Announce MAC Schedule; Add Two Non-Conference Dates

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo in conjunction with the Mid-American Conference announced the 2021-22 conference schedule on Friday afternoon. In addition, two non-conference games have been added to UB's slate.
Buffalo will meet cross-town rival Canisius on Dec. 18 in the Keybank Center downtown in a doubleheader with Niagara and Albany. The Bulls will also host UC-Irvine at Alumni Arena on Dec. 21.
The Anteaters went 18-9 last season and 10-4 in Big West play. UC-Irvine finished the 2020-21 season just outside of the top 100 in the NET rankings, finishing at 102. Canisius finished last at 7-6 in their COVID shortened season.
Buffalo will turn its attention to MAC play at the end of December, hosting Miami (OH) in the conference opener on Dec. 28. UB will open up the new year on the road beginning a two-game road trip with games at Eastern Michigan (1/1) and Northern Illinois (1/4).
UB returns home on Jan. 8 to host Bowling Green, before another two-game road trip that includes contests at Western Michigan (1/11) and Ball State (1/15). The Bulls will return to Alumni Arena for games against Central Michigan (1/18) and Kent State (1/22) and then back on the road at Toledo (1/25). Buffalo will close out January at home against Ohio on Jan. 29.
The Bulls will open up February with a two-game road trip beginning at Akron (2/1) before a trip to Central Michigan (2/5). A two-game homestand will follow with games against Eastern Michigan (2/8) and Ball State (2/12) before the Bulls head to Bowling Green on Feb. 15.
On Feb. 19 the Bulls will host Western Michigan at Alumni Arena followed by a trip to Oxford, OH on Feb. 22 to face the Miami (OH) RedHawks. The Bulls will then come home for their final two games in Western New York with contests against Northern Illinois (2/26) and Toledo (3/1). UB will wrap up the regular season at Kent State on Mar. 4.
Game dates and times are subject to change as the MAC's television schedule will be announced at a later date.
The MAC Tournament will take place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in downtown Cleveland from March 10-12.
Season ticket renewals will go out beginning on September 20.
