Bulls Sign Kidtrell Blocker To National Letter Of Intent

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo head men's basketball coach Jim Whitesell has announced the addition of Kidtrell Blocker for the upcoming season.
Blocker is a 6-5 combo guard from nearby Rochester, NY who played the last two seasons at Tennessee Prep Academy in Memphis. Prior to that he spent time at Aquinas and Bishop Kearny where he was named to the Private-Parochial First Team in 2019. He averaged 22.8 points per game during his final season at Bishop Kearny.
Blocker was named a McDonald's All-American nominee back in February, joining fellow incoming UB players Zaakir Williamson and Kuluel Mading. Over 12 games last season, Blocker averaged 26.6 points per game, scoring 30 or more points five times, including 36 points against Dream City Christian out of Arizona.
"We are excited to bring Kidtrell back close to home," said Whitesell. "He is an extremely gifted combo guard that has the ability to make an immediate impact. He's extremely versatile and can score in a bunch of different ways and we think he fits in extremely well with our style of play."
Blocker joins a class that includes Williamson, Mading, Curtis Jones, and George Washington transfer Maceo Jack.
