COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is proud to announce volleyball's Lexi Nordmann and men's basketball's David Skogman as 2021 All-American Athlete Award recipients. This award recognizes athletic accomplishments and their dedication to strength and conditioning. Nominated by Sean Conaty, Director of Sports Performance for Olympic sports at the University at Buffalo, the determination of Nordmann and Skogman to improve in athletics while maintaining academic prominence is a great model for all student-athletes at UB.
"Lexi is a model student-athlete who balances a very demanding mechanical engineering course load, while still excelling on the volleyball court, and being a senior leader to the team in the weight-room," said Conaty.
"David Skogman made the most of his redshirt year by getting extra reps in the weight room to work on his physical development, as well as extra reps on the court to enhance his game," said Conaty. "David transformed his body and added 5 inches to his vertical jump. This season David has been a major contributor coming off the bench for the Buffalo Bulls!"
"We are proud to have Coach Sean Conaty join the NSCA in its mission to safely improve athletic performance," says Eric McMahon, NSCA's Coaching Program Manager, "Supporting our student-athletes like Lexi Nordmann and David Skogman guarantees a stronger future for the NSCA."
