
Bulls Drop 4-3 Contest At League-Leading Ball State

MUNCIE, IN – For the second time this season the University at Buffalo women's tennis team lost a 4-3 decision to Ball State as the Bulls dropped doubles, but then split the six singles matches on Sunday afternoon.
The Cardinals won at doubles and then took the first three singles matches with wins at four, three, and two as Ball State clinched the match, but the Bulls scored victories in the final three contests.
Sophomore Azra Deniz Comlek won at fifth singles over Rebecca Herrington, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 and then junior Pia Schwarz won at first singles over Emma Peeler, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. Freshman Mariana Carvajal Torres picked up the victory at sixth singles, 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.
The Bulls remain on the road next weekend when they face Toledo on Friday afternoon.
