Glowacka Named MAC Singles Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's tennis sophomore Maria Glowacka was named the Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
It is the second weekly honor for Glowacka and third overall for the Bulls this season.
Glowacka had a great weekend for Buffalo, going 2-0 in her matches to help lead the Bulls to a weekend sweep. On Friday, Glowacka battled back from a dropped third set to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 at third singles to help lead UB to a big 6-1 road win at Eastern Michigan. She followed that up with another big-time performance on Sunday as she won another three-set thriller, also at the third position, to help power the Bulls to a 5-2 win over Miami (OH). The Torun, Poland native is now 21-7 overall, including an impressive 16-4 in dual action, this season.
Buffalo returns to action on Friday, April 3 as they host Toledo at Miller Tennis Center at 12pm.
