Β
UB WOMEN
Samantha Hjelmar had a great championship competition tying for fourth-place with a height of 1.65-meters for her first podium finish. Just one year ago she was recovering from Achilles surgery, and she is now at the top of her game. This bodes well for this upcoming outdoor season.
Β
Molly McCreedy placed seventh in the shot put with a toss of 14.68-meters. Β
Β
In the triple jump, Kaylah Britt earned the silver medal with a height of 12.30-meters. Christina Wende placed eighth with a height of 11.83-meters.
Β
"While we had some individual successes the last two days, the team placing is not to our standards or expectations," stated Head Coach Vicki Mitchell. "We have a lot of work to do to raise the level of performance of our men's a and women's teams to be more competitive."
