BUFFALO, NY – After a week off, the University at Buffalo wrestling team will be back in action on Friday night at Central Michigan. The Bulls will be looking to get back on track after dropping two straight close duals.
The Bulls (7-8, 3-4 MAC) are coming off a 20-17 loss to Kent State on January 25. UB has been wrestling with a very young lineup lately as five of the ten starters in its last match were either a freshman or redshirt-freshman.
Central Michigan is 5-4 overall and 5-2 in MAC duals. The Chippewas have three wrestlers in the national rankings, including Drew Hildebrandt (3rd at 125), Matt Stencel (4th at 285) and Dresden Simon (17th at 141).
Central Michigan has dominated the all-time series, leading 23-1. However, the Bulls did defeat the Chippewas, 18-17, last season and will look to make it two in a row on Friday.
The dual is scheduled to start at 7 pm and will air live on ESPN+. Click here to watch the live stream.
