BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo men's basketball junior Jeremy Harris has been named the MAC East Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. It is the third time this season that Harris has earned that honor.
Harris led the Bulls to a pair of victories this past week as Buffalo clinched the MAC East Division Title. Harris averaged 21.5 points per game during the two contests beginning on Tuesday night when he scored a career-high 24 points in the win over the Golden Flashes. Harris added six rebounds, two assists and two steals against Kent State as he went 9-of-15 from the floor. He scored just under 20 points in the win over Bowling Green as he had 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots against the Falcons. Over the last six games, Harris is averaging 19.8 points per game. He is second on the team in scoring in MAC games this season.
As a team, the Bulls have earned MAC East Player of the Week honors eight times this year as Harris leads the way with three of those honors, while CJ Massinburg and Nick Perkins have each won it twice. Senior Wes Clark has been named player of the week once.
Fresh off their MAC East Division title, the Bulls will return to the road Tuesday night as they face Miami (OH) at 7pm at Millet Hall. The Bulls are still looking to lock down the overall #1 seed heading into the upcoming MAC Tournament.
