
UB Women's Tennis Falls to Rutgers, 4-3

CHARLESTON, SC – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York women's tennis team suffered a 4-3 setback to Rutgers Monday at the College of Charleston's Patriots Point Tennis Center.
The Bulls (4-6) points were collected at second, fifth and sixth singles, though the Scarlet Knights (6-5) won three of their own, as well as the doubles point, to hand UB its fourth 4-3 loss of the season.
Freshman Tanja Stojanovska blanked Chloe Lee, 6-2, 6-0, at second singles to lead the Bulls. Sophomore Laura Holterbosch picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory at fifth singles against Lee Levy. Rookie Christine Haraldson edged Farris Cunningham 7-5 in the first, before powering to a 6-1 second-set victory for the win.
Junior Dayana Agasieva forced Lindsay Balsamo to three, but fell 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 at the third position.
The Bulls will open Mid-American Conference play on Friday with a 1 pm match at Toldeo.
