Bulls Return Home For MAC East Battle With Akron

BUFFALO, NY - The Bulls begin a stretch of playing three of their final four games at home beginning Tuesday night against Akron. The Bulls and Zips are currently tied for fifth in conference play with an 8-6 record. Both teams are trying to make it into the Top 4 and receive a bye in the conference tournament.
UB is coming off a 68-56 win at Bowling Green on Saturday and has won two straight, both away from home. Junior Justin Moss is leading UB and the Mid-American Conference at 18.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Sophomore Shannon Evans, who was just named MAC East Player of the Week, is averaging 15.2 points per game and is tied for the team lead with 113 assists. Junior Jarryn Skeete is averaging 10.0 points per contest.
Akron has dropped three straight following an overtime loss against Miami on Saturday. Pat Forsythe leads the Zips at 10.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Deji Ibitayo is second on the team at 9.9 points per contest.
Akron leads the all-time series 28-23 and has won the last two meetings, both at Akron. The Bulls have won the last five meetings at Alumni Arena, including a 96-90 victory last year.
