Men's Basketball To Open Conference Play Wednesday Night

BUFFALO, NY - The Bulls open Mid-American Conference play Wednesday evening as they host Northern Illinois at Alumni Arena. It has been an extended break for Buffalo, who had their last game postponed vs. South Dakota St.
Buffalo is 6-4 and is coming off a 55-52 win at Drexel in its last game and is being led by Javon McCrea, who is averaging 17.7 points and 9.6 rebounds.
Northern Illinois is 6-6 on the year and has won three of its last four. Dontel Highsmith is the team's leading scorer, but he is out with a knee injury. Darrell Bowie averages 9.6 points and 7.2 rebounds for the Huskies.
The Bulls lead the all-time series, 14-13, and have won seven straight meetings with the Huskies and 10 of the last 11 meetings. UB has won seven straight at Alumni Arena dating back to the 2002-03 season.
