Bulls Continue Action At Cornell Fall Invitational

ITHACA, NY - The University at Buffalo women's tennis team continued play at the Cornell Fall Invitational against athletes from Cornell and Albany.
The doubles team of Miranda Podlas and Tanvi Shah won their match 8-3 on Saturday, advancing to Sunday morning's "A" Doubles Flight final. In the "B" Doubles brackets, UB picked up a pair of losses early on, but the team of Shir Aharon and Anamaria Candanoza remained alive and with play in the consolation bracket tomorrow as well.
In singles action, their will be loads of matches in the "A" Bracket, with numerous Bulls in the consolation bracket. Marta Stoyanova and Miranda Podlas will face each other in the consolation bracket final. Sophomore transfer Laura Fernandez made it to the "B" Flight consolation final where she will play Lauren Michaels from Cornell at 1:00 pm.
Competition concludes tomorrow afternoon.
