Watt's Play is Turning Heads at Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, VA – Mitchell Watt is playing in the Portsmouth Invitational this week and the University at Buffalo senior is standing out amongst 64 of the nation's top senior men's basketball players. Through two games, Watt is averaging 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocked shots.
Seven of Watt's nine blocks came in his first game. It was one block shy of the single-game record in the 60-year history of the Portsmouth Invitational. He is only two rejections shy of the tournament record for blocks. He will play one more game, so the record is within reach.
Watt has also shot 2-of-5 from beyond the arc, which in this tournament is the NBA three-point line.
Representatives from every NBA team are in attendance at Portsmouth and Watt's play is catching the eye of scouts. The most recent mock draft from NBADraft.net predicts Watt will be drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of June's NBA Draft.
Watt will play his final tournament game on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm.
