2012-13: Finished off his first season at UB with a record of 14-12 with a dual record of 2-3 and a MAC record of 2-0...finished off the season with nine escapes and five takedowns...finished in third place at the Oklahoma Gold Classic (11/10) after going 3-1...recorded a fifth place finish at the NYS Intercollegiate Championships (11/17) as he went 4-2 in his matches...opened the season with a fifth place finish at the UB Open (11/4) after going 3-2.
Previous School: Wrestled for two seasons at Virginia Tech... redshirted as a freshman... went 21-13 in his sophomore year… picked up five major decision, two technical falls and six pins… competed at the Wolfpack Open… went 7-1 at the Harris Open, hosted by Ashland University, to place third… placed sixth at the Nittany Lion Open after going 5-2… participated in the Southern Scuffle… went 6-1 to take third place at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial… went 0-2 at the ACC Championships.
High School: Lettered six times for Coach Rick Sweeny at Niagara Wheatfield High School… A New York state champion as a senior after taking second place twice and fourth place once… Went 48-0 as a senior with a school-record 38 pins... Owns the Wheatfield record with 225 career victories… Took second at the 2009 NHSCA Junior Nationals… A three-time high school All-American… Ranked the No. 20 189-pounder in the country after his senior year by InterMat.
