Prior to Buffalo: The Netherlands native currently plays for the Meerdervoort VV Utrecht Dames 1 program...Trossel represented the Netherlands on the international stage...During her career, she played in the European Championship in Serbia...While representing her home country, she played in four international tournaments.
"Nienke will bring additional depth to our middle position," stated Head Coach Scott Smith. "She has invaluable experience playing in the highest division in the Netherlands as well as previous experience with the Dutch U17 National team. She is a strong attacker, but she really excels as a blocker. Being a well-balanced middle blocker will immediately allow her to contribute to the program."
