2010-11: Named to Collegeswimming.com Mid-Major All-American team. Finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.21), eighth in the 200 breaststroke (season best 2:16.46) and 15th in the 200 IM (2:05.12) at the MAC Championships. Part of second-place 200 medley relay squad (1:40.30) at the MAC meet.
2009-10: Finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.48) and ninth in the 200 breaststroke (2:18.00) at the MAC Championships. Also placed 14th in the 200 IM (2:06.16) at the MAC meet. Swam the breaststroke portion of UB’s 200 and 400 medley relays as both squads took fourth-place. Earned Mid-Major All-American Honorable Mention honors from CollegeSwimming.com.
2008-09: Broke the school record in the 100 breaststroke four times throughout her rookie season, finishing in third place at the MAC meet in a record-breaking 1:01.81. She also holds the school record in the 200 breaststroke (2:15.99) and swam the breaststroke leg of the record breaking 200 and 400 medley relays. Was awarded the team’s “Top Newcomer Award “and was named to the All-MAC team at the end of the 08-09 season.
High School: Won four letters and captained one season at Livonia Stevenson High School for coach Greg Phill. The 2008 Michigan state champion in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM. Also was a nine-time All-American.
Personal: Born August 4, 1990. Daughter of Mark Marecki and Terry Godfroid-Marecki. Has one sister (Jordyn) and two brothers (Aaren, Andrei). Favorite athlete is Ryan Lochte. Favorite musical group is Something Corporate. Also recruited by Florida Gulf Coast, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. Majoring in speech and hearing science.
