2011-12: Set season-bests as an exhibition entrant at the MAC Championships in the 50 freestyle (24.42), 100 freestyle (53.43) and 100 breaststroke (1:07.33).
2010-11: Raced as an exhibition entrant at the MAC Championships, setting season-best marks in all three events. Finished in 59.70 in the 100 butterfly, 1:07.54 in the 100 breaststroke and 2:29.89 in the 200 breaststroke.
2009-10: Raced as an exhibition entrant at the MAC Championships. Finished with times of 1:00.21 in the 100 butterfly, 1:09.48 in the 100 breaststroke and 2:32.28 in the 200 breaststroke.
High School: Earned four letters for coach Shannon Dunworth at Mercy High School. Set a pool and varsity record as a member of the 200 medley relay. Team was state champions in 2007 and 2008. Also swam for the Birmingham Bloomfield Atlantis club program for six years under coach Bill Thompson.
Personal: Born August 20, 1991. Daughter of Timothy and Chris Swies. Has one brother (Spencer). Favorite food is steak. Hobbies include reading, shopping and hanging out with friends. Favorite TV show is Gossip Girl. Lists her aunt, Patty Sabo, as her greast athletic influence. Chose UB for its athletics and academics. Majoring in international studies and French.
