Previous College: Member of Duke University’s swim team for three years. Finished 23rd at the 2012 ACC Championships in one-meter diving (278.80). Competed at Zone Championships reaching the finals of the three-meter competition and placing 18th (586.80) and 27th on one-meter. Held Duke’s platform diving record as a freshman in 2009. A two-time ACC Academic Honor Roll recipient.
High School: Won six letters and captained one season at North Tonawanda High School for coach Chris Heyer. Won the state diving championship as senior in 2008. Set school record for diving at 364.00 points and Niagara Frontier League and Section VI mark of 606.35 for 11 dives. Also lettered for three seasons as a member of the Lumberjacks golf team. Member of Karla Helder’s Wings Diving club program.
Personal: Born April 19, 1990. Son of Bruce and Linda Hoffman. Has one brother (Nicholas). Hobbies include golf, reading and music. Favorite food is chicken wings. Lists twitter creator Jack Dorsey as his non-sports hero. Majoring in exercise science and planning to enter UB’s master’s program with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.
