2014: Leo competed in seven races for the Bulls as a senior, including the MAC Championships and the NCAA Northeast Regionals...clocked a season-best 5,000-meter run time of 19:26.40 in UB''s season-opener at Duquesne on Aug. 30...top 6K time of 22:24 came on Oct. 4 at Lehigh''s Paul Short Invitational...added a 22:29 finish at the MAC Championships...named to the Fall Academic All-MAC team.
2013: Leo was one of five Bulls to race in all six meets of 2013. She clocked a six-kilometer time of 22:48 to finish second for the Bulls and 40th overall at the MAC Championship. Leo raced to a season-best 22:21 finish to place 100th at the NCAA Northeast Championship to conclude her junior season. She was the runner-up at the UB Stampede with a 5K time of 18:48.
2012: Leo raced in all six cross country meets for the Bulls, setting a top six-kilometer time of 22:57.50 at the NCAA Northeastern Championships. Picked up her best finish of 13th at the Harry Lang Invitational in a 4.2K time of 16:47.00.
2011: Leo raced in three meets as a freshman, setting a top five-kilometer time of 19:04 at the UB Stampede Invitational where she finished second.
High School: Earned four letters and captained four seasons at Immaculata Academy for coach Charles Planz. A two-time first-team All-Western New York and Monsignor Martin Association champion. Raced in the 2009 and 2010 New York State Federation Cross Country Championships. Set school records in the 800- and 1,500-meter. Also lettered in basketball and volleyball for the Bears.
Personal: Born June 29, 1993. Daughter of Joseph and Susan Leo. Has two sisters (Lauren, Kayla). Favorite athlete is Steve Prefontaine. Favorite foods include pasta and salmon. Favorite TV show is Will and Grace. Majoring in biology pre-dental and would like to open a private dental practice.
