
Program-Record Seven Wrestlers Named NWCA Scholar All-Americans

MANHEIM, PA – Seven members of the University at Buffalo wrestling team were named Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), it was announced. It was the most in program history, surpassing the previous record of four.
Redshirt-Freshman Zachary Belverio, redshirt-senior Kaleb Burgess, redshirt-sophomore Connor Jacobs, redshirt-sophomore Rafael Knapp, redshirt-junior Kelin Laffey, graduate Marcus Petite and freshman Tyler Roark were all honored.
"These student-athletes have demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence both on the mat and in the classroom," NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer said in the release. "We commend their dedication and the example they set for the sport.
