Successful completion of More Than An Athlete- Leadership Foundation Successful completion of More Than An Athlete – Leadership Growth Organization and completion of UB Community Service event Mentorship of new student-athletes Complete Reflection Paper on Leadership experience. |
The Leadership Practice badge is the third in the More Than an Athlete Leadership Development micro-credential series. Student-athletes apply and refine their leadership skills through active participation in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, organization of community service initiatives, and mentoring roles with incoming UB student-athletes.
Each Leadership badge is a part of the 3-badge More Than an Athlete Leadership micro-credential. Completion of all 3 in the series allows a student-athlete to obtain the “Leadership Achievement” Badge.
Eligible Participants
The Leadership Practice badge is available to UB student-athletes who have completed both the Leadership Foundation & Leadership Growth badge.
Leadership Practice Badge Process
Follow the steps below to sign up and complete the Leadership Practice badge:
- Provide your information on the following form: ENROLL HERE
- Set up a meeting with the Micro-Credential Coordinator: Diamond King-Williams (djw35@buffalo.edu)
- Complete the required criteria listed above. This will be provided in more detail by the Micro-Credential Coordinator during your initial meeting.
- Submit the required evidence for each criteria listed to the Micro-Credential Coordinator .
- Complete a final reflection meeting with Micro-Credential Coordinator
- Accept your Leadership Practice Badge through Credly
- Show off your Leadership Practice Badge!
